electric clothes dryer caught on fire in the house & began putting out black smoke. consumer stated that it was because of a design flaw. The back of the drum has holes in it and little bits of debris collected there over the two years consumer had the dryer.

Bosch Nexxt 700 Series

The consumer stated that her front loading electric dryer (front venting) blew up from the inside. The heat got so high inside the machine it blew up. The additional safety valve did not stop the engine. The inside steel drum melted. Her condo had fire and water damage

Electric dryer caught fire in back of drum inside unit. It looked as if debris built up behind drum liner. Consumer heard strange beep coming from dryer.

When I came back home, the house smelled gas bad to the point, I could not breathe. I called the Gas Company & they identified the leak to be coming from inside the dryer while the dryer was completely off & not in use. The gas release valve was defective & was allowing gas.
