Consumer reports that when they use their over-the-range microwave oven after boiling water on the stove, there is a very loud popping noise and a very visible blue flash of light inside the unit. Consumer says this problem continues to get worse.

76 YOF consumer's microwave caught on fire. Consumer thought that this was the oven, but discovered that it was in the microwave. Consumer took out the food from microwave and fire still was in the microwave.
Caller is reporting that the built in microwave when placed in use for approximately 10 seconds emanated smoke, he opened the door & smoke dissipated. There were scorch marks on exterior & interior of his cabinets & unit as well. The top interior of microwave was scorched.
Consumer reports that the microwave was tripping their circuit breaker. The breaker was replaced and when the microwave door was opened sparks flew out of the unit. The unit shorted out and then went dead. This is a potential fire and safety hazard. Unsafe.
Consumer reports that their 39 YOF wife touched the microwave door to use it and it tripped the breaker. The unit had to moved to another outlet and then it went dead after a day or so. The same problem occurred with a different unit. This product is unsafe. Fire hazard.
Microwave started tripping electrical circuit breaker. 49 YOM discovered that thousands of complaints regarding microwave tripping electrical breakers, making sparking sounds, producing smoke & burning smells. They stopped using microwave d/t similar problems.
Consumer bought a microwave and it arced out when its door was opened in the middle of the cycle. Consumer states it's a common feature for microwave to stop, but not cause electrical shorts. Tech stated this happened in many units of this make.
