While I was in my kitchen my food processor which was plugged in but not turned on started emitting foul smelling black smoke. I ran back and unplugged it before it caught fire but much of the base had melted. (No Injuries Reported)

Consumer noticed a piece of the food processor had come off and ended up in the food. The piece of plastic was about an inch and a half long and an eighth of an inch wide. The other side of the blade is starting to crack. Consumer considers the product to be a choking hazard.

Handle of work bowl of food processor broke d/t thread, where is mounted screw holding handle together broke. Spring loaded spear that drops into hole in motor base fell out of handle. Spear can now be used to operate food processor without lid & with uncovered blade.
