Refrigerator started to heat & cause interior plastic to melt. Whole house smelt like burnt plastic. Butter & cheese were both melted. Freezer side was intact and seems to work OK. Consumer believes it to be possible fire hazard.

Consumer stated that refrigerator smelled of electrical fire. Upon removing the back panel consumer found the relay to the compressor to be on fire with very visible flames. Consumer immediately unplugged the unit.

Refrigerator was delivered with wheels that have no way of locking in place. When pulling open door to refrigerator or freezer entire unit rolls forward. One time unit rolled forward and caught 5 YOM's foot, causing minor laceration. 5 YOM received first aid for injury.

The consumer stated that a piece of plastic broke off from the inside of the icemaker in their refrigerator. It was clear plastic and invisible in the middle of all the ice. It came out into his glass and ended up in his mouth. No injury reported.

Two pieces of plastic auger were found after consumer pulled out refrigerator ice bucket. Ice was melted and one of two missing pieces was found. Second small pieces, which is estimated to be 7mm x 2mm x 4mm, was not found. Plastic piece is clear & could fall into cup.

Refrigerator caught fire. When a motor or some other component cycled, it caused sparking & the sparks began to melt the plastic. We unplugged the refrigerator & no-one was injured. The only damage was to the refrigerator itself, which was otherwise operating fine.

Consumer's refrigerator developed a mold on the back of the refrigerator, it extended against a wall, and a bit into hardwood flooring. Consumer reviewed a bulletin and it recommended to install three heaters on the back of refrigerator to prevent condensation.

A circuit breaker blew & the clothes washer & the above appliance ceased to function. After resetting the breaker the washer functioned but the Refrigerator did not. There were popping sounds. Removing the back plates revealed a scorched cover & charred wires & parts

A refrigerator's circuit board had to be replaced twice. Unit stopped cooling; to remedy this, it had to be replugged. Later, light bulbs were on even with door closed and defrost was producing heat in the unit. Temperature read 85 degrees and food was melted/spoiled.

Consumer was cleaning her refrigerator when she noticed that the plastic light cover had melted. The consumer indicates that the light bulb was replaced around the same time she noticed the its cover had melted. The Technician inspected the unit but found nothing wrong.

Plastic screw inside ice housing of fridge ice maker broke into several pieces inside ice tray. Consumers found small plastic shards that came out when ice was dispensed. Screw is clear white, same color as ice & it makes this safety hazard. 2 YOF was involved in incident.

Freezer door handle popped off twice when door opened d/t handle held on by friction. Handle popped off throwing 68 YOF back into kitchen island, she didn't seek 1st aid & 5 YOM fell backwards, hitting head on tile floor & handle hit him in face. He got 1st aid.
