Consumer reports that while the electric mixer was being used to make 1 lbs dough at the speed of 4 for about 10 minutes, the machine fell off the kitchen counter.
While the stand mixer was in operation, the accessory screw located on the machine came loose & fell into the glass bowl. Bowl shattered & glass pieces flew around. 3 YOF got laceration on foot when it happened. She got 8 stitches.

After unpacking new electric Stand mixer consumer found that it had substantial amount of metal shavings located in front accessory drive port. consumer can't clean this area but the metal shavings could easily migrate & fall into the unit's mixing bowl with use.

While using an electric Stand Mixer, the speed control suddenly went to 'full speed' without touching or moving the control. When it went to full speed, unit started to flail about on countertop & threw flour everywhere. 59 yom was able to quickly grab unit & shut control of
Consumer was using stand mixer & lifted head to remove bowl. 2 YOM was easily able to entrap his finger in open area of mixer. Entrapment & downward force of mixer nearly resulted in amputation of his finger. He required treatment from emergency department & received sutures.
The consumer stated that when she shuts the mixer unit off, it restarts by itself immediately. The consumer also stated that it takes about four times of turning the unit off before it stays off.

While mixing the cake batter with her stand mixer, consumer forgot to tighten the attachment knob, so the metal attachment hub cover fell off into the bowl. The metal cover hit the flat beater and flew sideways out of the bowl. A small piece of plastic came off of the beater.
We were making bread in the Mixer with Glass Bowl. While the machine was mixing the bread dough with the dough hook mechanism rotating, the glass bowl became unscrewed from the plastic ring that attaches to the bottom of the glass bowl. It landed on the floor & shattered.

Consumer indicated that when he used hand mixer, it wouldn't power-down using thumb switch. He had running mixer with no way to safety turn it off. Plastic thumb switch on top controls power & motor speed failed in "ON" position. There was rattling sound inside.

The motor has difficulty mixing even slightly stiff batter & the motor whines. The pin near the connection between the head of the mixer & the stand slips out & you need to slide it back in so that the head doesn't fall off [Stand Mixer]. The bowl becomes lose.
65 YO consumer reports that the mixing bowl p purchased for the mixer contains a plastic base and the bowl itself is glass. The plastic base detached from the mixer while in use. The glass bowl began to spin out of control until they could unplug it. Unsafe product.
