Consumer stated that he received this cell phone as a replacement to the first phone he had , however the brightness of the phone illuminates every now and then and he is concerned that this is an overheating of the batteries which could cause an explosion.

My wife had this phone at work. It overheated. We charged one of the phones with the charger and after about half an hour it became hot and all the buttons were lit up. We were told that the battery went bad and they installed a new one.

Phone glass screen shattered while 53 YOF was using it. Two days before incident whenever battery was on charge and she would remove it after hour phone would display that it was 45% charged. She has been having ear problem since incident. She didn't receive medical attention

The consumer stated that while charging the cell phone, so much heat was generated that the connector melted and literally was welded to the phone. This was the 2rd or 3rd time the phone got so hot while charging. Had it been on a different surface, a fire would have started.
