Consumer reports that the clothes dryer made a noise and when he opened the door there was a flash and bang like a loud pop. Consumer says electrical black smoke came from inside the drum and filled the room. Consumer says unplugged the unit and vented the room.

Consumer reports that when this gas clothes dryer is used on any of the sensor cycles, the sensors don't work but the dryer continues to run. Several times the clothes have been too hot to touch. Replacing the sensor or the top panel has not resolved the issue.

The consumer reported that the dryer lint filter bypasses a large volume of lint d/t a gap where the bottom on the screen filter meets the exhaust plenum of the electric dryer. This causes the exhaust system of the dryer to build up and plug prematurely causing a fire hazard.

Dryer had an electrical fire destroying wiring harness & main control. Heat inside dryer warped plastic surrounding vent screen. 66 YOF burned arm removing clothing from dryer & didn't get 1st aid. She stated, that it was a series of incidents which ended in electrical fire.

Consumer reported, that recently they smelled burning plastic coming from gas dryer. Lint inside of dryer was cleaned few months ago. Consumer found that inside of dryer caught fire & burnt up some of electrical connections. It was electrical fire which put itself out.
