Voluntarily recalling about 2,460 Thermador 48-inch All-Gas Professional ranges. Hot air is vented below the small oven and causes the metal surface on the door of this oven to get too hot, presenting a burn hazard to consumers. Only model numbers PRG484GGUS, PRG486GDUS, and PRG486GLUS and serial number ranges 98020001-98129999, 99010001-99129999, 20010001-20129999 and 81010001- 81119999 are included in the recall.

The ovens can have gaps in the insulation where overheating can occur and when used in the self-cleaning mode it can cause nearby cabinets to catch fire. This poses a fire hazard to consumers. The recall involves Thermador Brand built-in double ovens with model numbers C272B, C302B, SEC272, SEC302, SECD272 and SECD302 and serial numbers between FD8403 through FD8701.

The oven can have gaps in the insulation where overheating can occur and when used in the self-cleaning mode it can cause nearby cabinets to overheat. This can pose a fire hazard to consumers. This recall involves Thermador Brand built-in single ovens and combination models which have a conventional oven and a microwave. The model numbers of the single ovens are C271B, C301B, SEC271B and SEC301B. The model numbers of the combination models are SEM272B, SEM302B, SEMW272B and SEMW302B. The ovens have date codes between FD8403 and FD8701.
Thermador Ceramic Cooktops Recalled by BSH Home Appliances Corp. Due to Fire Hazard

The cooktop can come on by itself when switched off, creating a potential fire hazard if flammable items are left on the cooktop. The cooktop has electric and induction heating elements with a black ceramic glass surface. This recall involves model numbers CIT302DS/01 and CIT362DS/01 with date codes between 8606 and 8612.
45 Inch Electric Cook Tops Recalled by BSH Home Appliances Corp.

Voluntarily recalling about 330 electric cooktops. The cooking controls are miswired, which can pose a shock hazard to consumers. The recalled electric cook tops were sold under the Thermador brand name and have the model number TMH45PS and serial numbers ranging from 82030001 through 82070100.

The grill coil of the oven exploded when set to broil (after about 8 minutes). It was replaced by a new component installed by a manufacturer service representative.

In a follow up to a prior report concerning the double ovens, consumer is submitting pictures of the burnt wiring in the oven's control panel and says that even if the parts, wiring & control panel are replaced it will not address the underlying problem why the wiring burned.

Male consumer reports that the igniter in his oven range takes about 5 minutes for it to ignite causing the propane to build up during this time and creates an explosion inside the oven that are progressively getting worse. This unit is unsafe and a fire hazard.

Consumer said gas range spark electrodes crack easily & they were replaced several times, but the part is no longer manufactured. Consumer said turning burner with a match is safety hazard because absence of the electrode has a safety feature, which signifies a gas leak.

The cooktop does not ignite immediately allowing gas to build up resulting in a flash of fire which resulted in burned hair and superficial burns to a 75-YOM's right arm. Also another burner will not not ignite when it's hot and another burner occasionally won't ignite at all

The consumer stated that while running the oven through self clean cycle, thit made a loud shrill sound (like air escaping) and then exploded with a bang. Glass pebbles poured out of the closed oven door. The heat went off and the oven went through its normal cool down cycle.

73 YOM reports that the dual gas safety valve on the gas range malfunctioned and did not shut the gas off to the broiler when the broiler was shut off. This allowed gas to continue to flow into the oven chamber. Consumer shut off the gas. The valve was stuck open.

Submitter stated that cooktop stove has faulty design. Gas range knobs are very close to burners. Flames that shooted from burner were able to melt knobs. This occurred after 5 min. while water was boiling in pot. She contained flames by using cast iron to smother flames.
